On the afternoon
of November 17th, Guo Shuqing, Deputy Party Secretary of CPC Shandong
Provincial Committee and Governor of Shandong Province, met with Yoshinobu Nisaka,
Governor of Japan Wakayama Prefecture, Shuichiro Asai, Parliament Speaker of Wakayama
Prefecture, and their parties.
Guo Shuqing extended
his warm welcome to the visitors and briefly introduced Shandong’s economic and
social development. He pointed out that exchanges in many areas have been increasingly closer and cooperation space has been continuously enlarging since
32 years ago when the two sides established friendly provincial-prefecture
relationship. Governor Guo hoped the province and prefecture would further
strengthen high-level exchanges, deepen cooperation in the field of
environmental protection, old-age security, commerce,
tourism, culture, and so on, find out the solutions to the problems such as old age commonly faced with, and strive to bring more well-beings for the people of the two parties.
Yoshinobu Nisaka spoke highly of the achievements of exchanges and cooperations between Shandong
Province and Wakayama Prefecture and expressed he would actively introduce
Shandong to all parties of Wakayama Prefecture to promote the two sides to
achieve pragmatic cooperation in more fields and deeper level.

Province, attended the meeting.
